With
the development of its business, the company found it
unable to satisfy the local Chinese's demand for funeral
services by only employing foreign licensed funeral
directors. In the same year, Amy Mak Chen's younger
brother, Wilson Mak, who was still a student then, continued
two years of funeral study after graduation under Amy
Mak Chen's encouragement and became a professional Funeral
Director after passing an examination. Today, Wilson
Mak has not only mastered a lot of professional knowledge
but also accumulated almost two decade of service experiences,
and can provide quality and reliable service to the
local community.
In 1993, Ng Fook successfully established the Chun
Fook Funeral Home in Flushing, the second large Chinese
community in New York, making the Chinese living in
the Queen District, Long Island, and Upper State etc.
all able to enjoy professional funeral service designed
for Chinese.
Considering the existing of many poor families or destitute
people, 1997, Amy Mak Chen and other various benevolent
members in the community founded the Chinese Funeral
Fund to provide necessary detailed help to various people.
After the Fund's establishment, it has supported the
creation of a good atmosphere of helping poverty-stricken
families and childless old people.
